some time has passed....

and although I've been MIA, you haven't missed anything. My weight watchers meeting was cancelled because of snow last week so I went to my fellow WWer/BFF's house and we had our "official" weigh in there. I must say...unimpressive on my part.

I was up .2 -- bummer. No big deal really but I was disappointed. Then, things just went spiraling out of control. Friday, due to lack of planning I ended up eating WAY more points than I realized and when I did become aware of it, I threw my hands in the air and said, oh well...might as well just keep eating cuz it feels goooooood. So...Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were absolutely no bueno in respect to weight loss.

Monday I pulled myself back on the wagon by my fingernails and have been securely on plan since. I'm not sure I've done enough to really do damage control but based on my home scale, I'm at least close to what I was last week again. I do, however, expect a gain at weigh in tomorrow. *sigh*

It's really discouraging. I get so close to a small goal and then I inevitably regain and get further from it. Oh well...I have a slew of cliches that I repeat to myself regularly on downer weeks like this and whether or not they work...
"it's a marathon not a race"
"i didn't gain the weight in a day, it won't come off in a day"
"one day at a time"
"slow and steady wins the race"
yada yada yada...

Oh well...thank goodness a new week starts tomorrow...I do love a fresh start! Be back after weigh in to admit my gain
