week 4

Ok...so I dreaded weighing in tonight. I had actually decided I wouldn't do it, I would just skip the scale and attend the meeting to get refocussed. Well, as the day went on I convinced myself (with the help of some girls on the weight watchers message boards) that I should face the scale and know the damage in order to pick up and move forward.

So...I did it. and honestly it wasn't all that bad. I was actually more excited about my gain this week than I was my loss last week! lol. After all my insane binging over the past week....I gained .2...that's it! 2 tenths of a pound! Which essentially is just maintiaining my weight through the holiday! I'm stoked!

Starting Weight: 193.4 (BMI 31.2)
Previous Weight: 185.8
Previous BMI: 20 -- Obese

Week 3:
Weight: 185
BMI: 30 -- Obese
8.4 down 50 pounds to go to reach goal weight (135)

Dang it...I'm back to 50 pounds to go :( Oh well....it's a process and I am still going to keep going and lose more....next challenge...Christmas!

Thanksgiving day...

Well, I certainly didn't exercise self control...LOL
I. did. HORRIBLE.

I had good intentions.
Fill my plate with veggies and a little turkey.
Avoid the rolls
Avoid the starches
Avoid Desserts......

Umm...yeah, my plate was full of everything I was going to avoid!!
In my defense though (I know this may just be an excuse) but there wasn't a lot on the table in the line of veggies.
Corn, which is good, but definitely 1 of the higher sugar/starch vegetables and green bean casserole which isn't something I can load up on in good conscience either.

So...at the end of the day I sat down and faced the music...I ate 80some points today!!! EIGHTY something POINTS?!?! I get 25 a day!!! I feel so guilty.

I did do a little damage control though...Ran 3 miles this AM...then rode bikes about 4 miles this afternoon...and then tonight because I still felt like poo I played on my wii fit for an hour. So...all in all I burned about 900 calories in exercise today...Not that that offsets my 5000 calorie binge. I've got my work cut out for me this weekend. Going to try to stay on this exercise hype so I don't see a gain on Monday at weigh in. Anyway....I've confessed now...put it out there for all of you to see...and let it be known that I am moving forward, not looking back. It was Thanksgiving...one day. Tomorrow is another fresh start and I will be back on the wagon and moving towards my goal of 135 yet again.

Week 2 - Thanksgiving is right around the corner!

Ok, so this week was a little less exciting but still a loss so I can't complain...I lost 1 pound this week and I'm happy with that. I was worried that my big loss last week would result in a very small or no loss at all or even worse...the dreaded gain! but thankfully no, I'm still headed in the right direction and although, 1 pound seems slow and little...I'm happy :D

Starting Weight: 193.4 (BMI 31.2)
Previous Weight: 185.8
Previous BMI: 20 -- Obese

Week 3:
Weight: 184.8
BMI: 30 -- Obese
8.6 down 49.8 pounds to go to reach goal weight (135)

Just realized....I now have less than 50 pounds to go to reach my goal weight! That's friggin' awesome! I think that makes me more excited than the loss lol. So...anywho...this week I face Thanksgiving...Should be interesting...I have a plan though, going to run in the morning and then try to limit my intake...I may have to find some sort of dessert alternative...Robbie's grandmother makes some great pastries! Willpower, don't fail me now!

Hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving!

My best friend also joined WW tonight so now i have another buddy (one that I see every day) to help keep me on plan and motivated! That means I now have 2 besties on plan with me.

So....best meal of the week: Smart Ones Spaghetti w/meat sauce, two slices of low calorie toast w/light margarine, and peas and corn in basil butter sauce! It was incredible! lol

Beginning Stats

Ok...so here are my beginning stats...I'll be weighing in every Tuesday and posting my progress as I go. This first one is a little bit harsh and hurts me to share it with you but...it is what it is.

Starting Weight: 193.4
Starting BMI: 31.2 -- Obese :(
58.4 pounds to go to reach goal weight (135)

Whew...that said, lets move forward and never mention this again shall we?

my very first blog post!!! EVER!

So, I feel a bit like an imposter...I've never blogged before, always thought it was a bit strange but then I caved. I've been reading a lot of people's blogs lately trying to get inspiration for weight loss and vwala it happened! so i decided it's a great way to update some and keep track for myself about how I'm actually doing on my weight loss journey.

Don't Judge me....
I joined Weight Watchers (yeah, again) last night and am totally stoked about this journey I'm starting (Yes, again! get over it already). I really think I'm a contender for the Guinness book of world records fastest weight regained! My wedding day was spectacular! I weighed a nice 155ish which was the least I have ever weighed as an adult (actually the least since junior high school) and I was soooo proud of myself! Well...lets just say, i got a little too confident b/c since the wedding (July 4, 2009) I have Regained about 36 whopping pounds! Yeah, that's right...just over 4 months...THIRTY SIX POUNDS!!!! I was completely appalled at my weigh in but also very releaved that that is where I received that news! I'm humiliated...so embarrassed about my lack of self control but at the same time I'm very proud and excited about having returned to the program and I know works well and is actually something I can do long term.

So, long story short, here we go again. This time I'm shooting for a low goal weight of 135 pounds...I can't even imagine! I'm excited though, and hope y'all will share this journey with me and help keep my accountable and motivated through the rough times :)
