a little success

Well, getting back on track seems to be working. I lost .8 this week, which I'm happy with considering I really didn't seriously recommit until after a munchy weekend :). Anyway, I'm back in my groove now. I can happily report that I completed 12 miles this week. As promised, I rolled out of bed by 5AM and ran 3 miles Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and today (Friday). I'm enjoying it so much again. Depending on how the weekend goes I may even throw in an extra jog Saturday or Sunday. No promises there though :) Anyway, here's this week's numbers:

Starting Weight: 193.4 (BMI 31.2)
Previous Weight: 171.0
Previous BMI: 28 -- Overweight

Week 26:
Weight: 170.2
BMI: 28 -- Overweight
23.2 down 35.2 pounds to go to reach goal weight (135)

hi, remember me??

Sorry I've been MIA! I'm so annoyed with myself...well, I have been up until the past couple of days. I fell off the wagon...way off! I had a bad week, skipped weigh in once and with that came another week of some seriously bad eating. Then, when I finally faced the scale I was up 3 pounds. Honestly, it's pretty much what I expected.

I'm not so excited to be back in the 170s but I'm realistic about it. I know I can get back down to the 160s and below. Yesterday I seriously recommitted. I mean seriously. I am freezing my 24 Hour Fitness membership for the time being and going back to road running. I love running on the streets of the city. It's peaceful but HARD. way harder than treadmill or elliptical exercise. I'll probably miss having the option of going to the gym for a class or just to vary my workout but I need to save money where I can and running outside seems to be more motivating for me.

My first wedding anniversary is fast approaching. July 4th. The hubs and I have begun making arrangements...hotel downtown, fancy shmancy dinner, and fireworks. Because of this I feel like I have another tangible goal date to work towards. Its 40 days from now and my goal is to lose 10 pounds and look fabulous when we get gussied up for dinner. I have committed to myself to run 3 miles 4 days/week until that fateful weekend and then feel confident with the work I put in. I think it's doable. 10 pounds is no small goal but, I've had my fun (3 pounds worth) and it's time to get back on track. Anywho....I'll try to get back in the habit of posting here regularly and keeping you up to date with my progress.

So far...I ran 3 miles both yesterday and today before work. My plan is to run Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri's with Wednesdays and weekends off to rest. Hopefully I can make this routine and habit by 7/4/10. Anywho, sorry to be so long winded, but hey, it's been a while! Here are my stats from the past week.

Starting Weight: 193.4 (BMI 31.2)
Previous Weight: 168.0 (5/6/10)
Previous BMI: 28 -- Overweight

Week 26: (5/20/10)
Weight: 171
BMI: 28 -- Overweight
22.4 down 36 pounds to go to reach goal weight (135)

"The Arlington Pregnancy Centers desire to reach women at their point of decision with information and referrals to make an informed choice they can live with for a life time.

"Our mission is to be an advocate for the unborn child while presenting women with the Gospel and encouraging them to adopt life-affirming choices.

"In 2009, the Arlington Pregnancy Centers saw 5,442 clients and equipped new mothers with training and material assistance from our store, Arlington ReSale. Arlington ReSale donated $124,242 in merchandise to help new parents in the greater Arlington community."
