Weeks 7 and 8 - Christmas progress :)

I'm behind yet again :( oops. But I have good news to report :)

Last week was week 7 and I successfully lost 2.2 pounds and this week, the week of Christmas cookies...I amazingly lost another 1.4!!! I'm so excited! Not sure if I've mentioned this before but I was told in my weight watchers meeting that the average person gains between 5-10 pounds between Halloween and New Years. I beat that little nasty statistic!

I am now out of the 180s (again) and on my way back to a healthy weight. Oh and I'm no longer considered obese either!

I had a great Christmas and ate way too much so I'm pretty glad to be moving forward now. With the major holidays over the treats at work will go back to minimal and I can continue to progress towards wearing a swimsuit COMFORTABLY on my first anniversary (July 4).

Here are the stats for the past 2 weeks since I forgot to update last week:
Starting Weight: 193.4 (BMI 31.2)
Previous Weight: 183
Previous BMI: 30 -- Obese

Week 7:
Weight: 180.8
BMI: 29 -- OVERWEIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Week 8:
Weight: 179.4
BMI: 29 -- OVERWEIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
14 down 44 pounds to go to reach goal weight (135)

I did it! week 6

Ok...I'm back, as promised...and in a timely fashion too :)

This week was yet another success. I lost another pound and reached my two mini goals...5% and 10 pounds! That means I get to cut and dye my hair this weekend! woohoo!!!! it really worked to set a reward for a goal that was something I normally would have done regardless but I forced myself to wait. It drove me nuts not to be able to cut it 2 weeks ago b/c my hair looks terrible! It made me more motivated and I feel even more satisfied having reached this goal now!

For next week I'm hoping for another 1 pound loss (minimum of course) in order to be overweight rather than obese. Fingers crossed and mouth zipped :)

Actually I have 3 Christmas functions this week...work lunch at Saltgrass Thursday, Christmas party with friends Saturday morning, and family get together Saturday night. All of these are sure to include plenty of eating but luckily the Saturday one with friends should be ok..both of those friends are weight watchers as well so we are doing a WW potluck :) Good thing too b/c i'm going to need a saving grace for that evening at my sister in law's! I'll do good to maintain but I'm still shooting for a loss.

Starting Weight: 193.4 (BMI 31.2)
Previous Weight: 185.8
Previous BMI: 20 -- Obese

Week 5:
Weight: 183
BMI: 30 -- Obese
10.4 down 48pounds to go to reach goal weight (135)

week 5 - a little late :)

Sorry I didn't post last week...It's been a bit of a busy week :) Good, but busy. First off, I'd like to say that my husband landed a job! I am soooo happy about this that I just have to share! He started last week and things so far are going great! I have definitely noticed much more what an emotional eater I am though because of this. I always thought I ate when I was stressed out or sad or angry...well, I do..but I also tend to run to food to celebrate! I was so excited when he told me he got the job that I immediately turned to chocolate! Then I realized what I was doing and put it back. Anyway, that was just a little self realization.

Last week's weigh in was good. I lost another 1 pound. I'll admit I was a little disappointed again but today, one week later, I've decided that if I can just continue to lose 1 pound per week I have nothing to be ashamed of. Especially this time of year! So I plug on. Tonight's weigh in again so I'm hoping for another pound (or more of course)...Desperately hoping to hit my 5% AND 10 pound loss today. I've been holding out on dying and cutting my hair until I reach the 10 pound mark and it's taken much longer than I expected and I'm about to go nutty with my hair!
So here's the info for last week...I should be back either later tonight or tomorrow with week 6's (tonights) WI results...

Starting Weight: 193.4 (BMI 31.2)
Previous Weight: 185.8
Previous BMI: 20 -- Obese

Week 4:
Weight: 184
BMI: 30 -- Obese
9.4 down 49 pounds to go to reach goal weight (135)

I'm getting a little aggravated with having to put on here that I am "obese" week after week...but I just checked and when I hit 182 pounds I will officially no longer be considered obese, but rather a nice..."Overweight"...I have to say, I'm looking forward to being overweight lol. Maybe I can hit that milestone tonight as well. (fingers crossed but not overly hopeful). Be back soon!
